"Alyn!" A high-pitched voice came from Alyn's back.
  Alyn turned to the voice and she saw Nabilah waving at her as she came closer. Alyn smiled and continued putting books into her locker.
  "You know what?! We're gonna have some fun tomorrow in this school," Nabilah's eyes were shining brightfully, showing that she was too excited for tomorrow. Yup, the best event of the year for everyone will be held tomorrow - Prom Night.
  Alyn did not feel anything as she had no partner but she did feel a little bit sad as her friends were all had their very own mates except her. Eventhough she had no partner, she had a crush, maybe she'll have a long-lasting crush on him-she tought. 4 years aren't short. She had been through lots of things on the whole time crushing on him and most of the 'finishing of the line', she'll end up heartbroken. But it's okay, she's big enough to hold these things.
   "Hey, you ok? You should be exci-," Nabilah stopped and she realized that Alyn's face turned grey. Nabilah held Alyn's arm as she finally understood Alyn's situation. Alyn then closed her locker after she had finished putting books into it. There were a lot of things crossing her mind.
  Nabilah knew what does Alyn feel as she did feel the same thing few years ago. That feeling towards him that you can't even describe. Nabilah was just like Alyn before. Her heart shattered into pieces everytime she saw her ex-crush which is now her forever-mate. After a few years of liking him, her boyfriend-Daniel-confessed to her that he liked her for all this time. Nabilah still remembered when Daniel asked her to be his girlfriend at the podium. What a beautiful moment!
  "Um, Nabilah? Are you with me?" asked Alyn as she patted Nabilah's shoulder. Nabilah woke from her thoughts and nodded few times eventhough she did not know what was Alyn talking about to her when she was in her own world thinking about Daniel.
  "We're going home now, you wanna come with me or-," Alyn stopped her words halfway as Danish approached them. Alyn could see Nabilah's wide smile as soon as Daniel approached them.
  Daniel grabbed Nabilah's hand and walked away with Nabilah following on his back.
  "Bye Lyn! Sorry!" Nabilah waved bye towards Alyn. Daniel pulled Nabilah closer until her cute cheek bumped into his chest softly. Alyn replied her bye with a wave. She could hear Nabilah giggling as Daniel tickled her white pale neck.
  "If only they were you and me," said Alyn to herself with a sigh afterward.
